 Age of Evette Clarinet

I recently acquired a clarinet from a family member's estate. It's a Evette Sponsored by Buffet Clarinet with a serial number of A1342. It is wooden and appears to be made in France. The accompanying case appears to be covered in genuine alligator skin. Does anyone know the approximate age of this instrument or anything else about it? In searching the board I didn't find any mention of Evette serial numbers with an "A" prefix.
