went to see the Control Room last night- great Clarinet playing at the start of the piece..... it sounded like a Klezmerish version of one of the Bartok Hungarian Dances..... but i couldn't be sure
has any one out there seen the film and knows the piece/player?

the piece was the Pe loc (andante non tropo lento) from Romanian Folk dances by Bartok.... great playing- a nice balance between "folky" playing, and the more disciplined approach classical trained players may choose.
if i could find out who the player was, i'd definately look out for some recordings.
i'm suprised no one has seen this film- it won awards at nearly all the major film festivals and addresses vital issues about the freedom of the press.

It is shown in an Amazon listing for the Folk Dances as "In one Spot" from Egres.
