I’ve bought a new Leblanc Opus II and want to get brannenized but bringing it is to expensive and sending it to America….. it’s a long way from the netherlands…
Who has outside America contacted the Brannens? And doesn’t the changes in climat “destroy” all the work that the brannens did on the clarinet…
Isn’t there a repairer in Europe who does a very good overhaul on new clarinets like the brannens?

Eddy,
It would be a very good idea for you to email Linda Brannen (info@brannenwoodwinds.com) to discuss your intentions. They have horns shipped to them frequently, but they do warn that jostling, temperature changes, etc., in transit can undo some of their work.
Further, you should confirm that they will work on the Opus II at all. At the risk of touching off another Buffet v. The World screaming match, Linda and Bill may not be working on new Leblancs.
Best of luck.

They worked on my Concerto A, why would they not be working on new Leblancs?

Because somethimes they do, sometimes they don't. Let's not re-open the issue.

I doubt they would turn your clarinet away because its an Opus II... I used to play on leblancs that were serviced by them and my friend had a set of concerto II's branenized. Just be very and polite and I am sure you will be fine.

When I contacted the Brannens last year (I'm in Australia) Linda B. said they would not receive instruments from outside the US as there was too much time involved in customs paperwork.
