I'm having this weird problem with my clarinet. When i play up to high D, my tone is ok but when i go t E,F,G,A it either goes flat or sharp. Well i'm playing on an R-13 but my mpc is only a b45(i need to upgrade.) I have also found that Rico Grand Concert select reeds work better than the vandoren v-12 reeds for me. So what do you guys think the problem is? Embouchure, reeds,....?? Any info would be great thanks.

Airstream is usually the first place I look for intonation woes. Are you playing the note like it's "high", or like any other note that fills the clarinet?

try using different fingerings, some fingerings are just sharp/flat for some players

Perhaps you should practice some flexibility excercises so you can doctor these notes to fit where they need to be.
For the flat F add the sliver key on the right hand.

The standard fingering for F6 (TR oxx C#/G# / ooo Eb/Ab) is notoriously flat on most R-13's. The pitch can be raised by adding the RH sliver key, being careful not to depress the rings of the RH.
The "covered F" for F6 is higher in pitch: (TR x x x C#/G# / x x x)
Other viable choices for F6 are:
TR x x x + top side key #3 and C#/G# / o o o Eb/Ab
and
TR + A key x x x C#/G# / o o o
Remember what has been said numerous times on this board:
"Clarinets don't play in tune, great musicians who play the clarinet play in tune"

Thank you guys for the info! Ya i think it is me....like EEBaum said, I play the notes like they're "high". Well if anybody else has anymore suggestions i'll be willing to listen.
