I am wondering what other "Wurlitzer" brand clarinets there are out there. When I look on line for just "Wurlitzer clarinet," I find a whole bunch that don't seem to be the Herbert Wurlitzer clarinets. So, is there a crappy old Wurlitzer brand that is different than the good Herbert Wurlitzer brand, or are they the same brand?

The 'crappy old" Wurlitzer which contragirl is referring to was the American Wurlitzer company (I believe they were better known for their electronic organs) in Elkhart, Indiana, who for a while in the 70s marketed Vito soprano and harmony clarinets under the Wurlitzer name. I played a Wurlitzer-branded Vito bass clarinet in high school. Not 'crappy' at all --- just Vito! These appear frequently on eBay, and of course have nothing to do with any of the German Wurlitzers.
