I am having some major embouchure and mouth problems. They are especially prevelent when I'm practicing my lesson stuff, during my private lesson, and with a orchestra I'm playing in.
However, in my school band they seem to lessen condsiderably. I can enjoy playing, and my whole clarinet seems to work better in band practice.
I can't figure out how to get my embouchure back in working order so that I can play for my private lessons. I leak air like crazy, and my lips start hurting after about 5 minutes of practice or playing. I'm really really really frusterated, and I don't feel like my clarinet teacher is going to be able to get me back on track. I'm going to try talking to her again tomorrow, but truthfully, I don't have much hope for her.
Why does my setting (i.e. orchestra practice, private lessons, and practicing my lesson stuff ) affect how I can play so much? Why can't I play in my lesson how I play in band, and why can't I practice my lesson stuff like I can practice my band music?

There could possibly be something in your lessons and your orchestra that makes you tense. This would make your embouchure muscles tense, causing the problems that you have, which gets frustrating, which makes you even more tense, and so on.....
I've had the same sort of problems. I would advise you to find out what it is about those situations that bothers you.
