Hello,
I am trying to find a way to contact Steve Barta - I know some of his students have posted here. A friend of mine, who is now uncontactable in basic training for the next 2 months, studied with him last year at Catholic U. - but I lost the info he gave me to contact Mr. Barta.
I have searched this board, and the links on Mr. Barta do not lead to a phone # or email address in which I can contact him. If one of the students or Pro's out there can send me the info, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've studied with him, he's a great teacher. I suggest you visit the Peabody website and see if you can find contact information for him. I myself am hesitant to volunteer contact info, however, i believe you can find it on their directory. Best of luck.

Yeah, I've tried that and the Catholic U site...just even looking for an email address. I suppose I can try the white pages ... to get a home #...talk about personal.
My friend was a student last year and raved about making his own reeds using Steve Barta's technique...that was the reason for my inquiry. I left my email address so his information wouldn't be publically displayed.
Never mind.

He is also the principal clarinetist at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Perhaps you can reach him through that organization.
