Bierce, The Devil's Dictionary:
PRESENTABLE, adj. Hideously appareled after the manner of the time
and place.
In Boorioboola-Gha a man is presentable on occasions of ceremony
if he have his abdomen painted a bright blue and wear a cow's tail; in
New York he may, if it please him, omit the paint, but after sunset he
must wear two tails made of the wool of a sheep and dyed black.
Do you wear two tails? I do.

Ken and all...
I'm thinking....classical musicians are starting to "get it". Much the say we old rock musicians did. You don't have to all wear matching "suits" to be a unit. You just have to play well together....AND.....just saw a quartet of "stringers" on FOX and FRIENDS the other day.....four ladies....call themselves BOND......they all looked and dressed like Brittney Spears/J-Lo
but played classical music.....Damn they were good! They've a new CD out and I'm headed to Borders to get it......
Anyway.....if you saw these ladies on the street you would never accuse them of being classical musicians.....but when they pull out their volins...
cellos.....bass......look out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's a certain freedom when one is allowed to express creativity through
dress.......
