Should I buy two Legere reeds or a box of Gonzalez FOF reeds? I'd just like some advice.

I'd take cane over synthetic any day. Also depends what you're gonna be doing. If it's outdoor stuff (is this for marching band?) then I'd go Legere. If it's for general use (other stuff besides/as well as marching band) then I'd go cane. That's my two cents!

What strength of Legere reed would be best for someone who plays well on a Vandoren 3-1/2.
And may ask what other options you're talking about, BobD?

See http://www.legere.com/strength_charts.htm for a comparison. Legere says that a Vandoren 3.5 is equivalent to their 3.75

Hey, Brian! Why don´t you try them for yourselve? Then you´ll probably know which you like better. I have heard that Legere makes pretty good reeds. Haven´t tried them, though.
