Has anyone ever heard of an "Allen" brand saxophone?
Someone is trying to sell it to me for $350, but I just about laughed in his face. Sounds like one of them chinese no-names from ebay. I can't find any information on it anywhere.
Anyone know anything about it?

Is it Allen Brand or Allenbrand? I did a search on google and that said that it was allenbrand, but I didn't find anything to say that this was a brand of saxaphone. Try to contact people off of individual websites, usually you will find someone with unlimited knowledge on a small business site.
I hope this helps, they say they do perfessional saxaphones and might know if this is a real brand: info@saxforte.com

If you read more carefully on the search engines, those are the name of people. I found Allenbrand, and that is a woman's name: Barb Allenbrand.
I can't find it on any website.

NO, Contra - I have never heard of an "Allen" brand sax.
However, I have heard of a Taiwanese-Chinese-Korean brand sax call ALIEN. FWIW - it's possible that the alIen -- the "I" got misread as an "l" (lower case "L").
BEWARE - you may need some eyemuffs as the Henny Youngmans haven't checked in yet!

Hmm... It may be Alien, but it was written in a cursive-like script, so it looked like Alien. Then again, I may not have read it very closely. I didn't see any country mark on it, only a serial number. He says "It's a 2003." I'm like... umm... it isn't even a popular name brand, but he assures me it's a good sax. It's very heavy, so I don't think it's even made of brass! lol
I told him that it is prolly a cheapo made in China thing, and if I took it to a shop to get it fixed, they would laugh at me and kick me out. Yeaaahhh... He thinks he knows what he is talkin about, but I know better.
Interesting...

Contra, who's on first - you got me spinning! [[read you first line in the response above)
PS While I am not receommending or advocating purchase - be careful of stamping all Asian Instruments as junk. They are quickly improving as they practice a sincere form of flattery. mw

Oops... I'm dumb. I meant to say :"It may be Alien, but it was written in a cursive-like script, so it looked like Allen." Lol!

I knew that!
It might help if we knew what you were looking for & why you were buying? Something just to knock around on or you need for upcoming gig or what?
