~don't know how much this will yield, but I figured it is worth a try to ask.
Do you all have any recommendations for clarinet teachers in central Oklahoma? I live in Shawnee, but often go up to OKC, so teachers there might be an option. My current teacher is moving away, and I am looking for another to guide and teach me as I continue my clarinet journey.

I'm in Edmond, OK...
I'm not sure how far you are in your "journey", so I'm not sure who to recommend. You could contact one of the universities, and try to get started with someone on faculty... Dr. Etheridge at OU, Chad Burrow at OCU, Dr. Howell at UCO. I believe Michelle Colletta (2nd in the philharmonic) is adjunct at UCO now. I have no idea if any of these mentioned are taking non-university students, but I imagine they most certainly would be able to refer you to someone.
I'm curious who your current teacher is, and why they haven't referred you to someone already...
Good luck!

Chad Burrow is a gifted clarinetist & teacher. You can reach him @ his OCU Studio (405-521-5000 for OCU, switchboard will transfer you). My daughter just did the side-by-side Concert with Michelle (& Chad) & raved about Michelle. Of course, she raves weekly about Chad. Last I knew, both were accepting students - don't know if they have out of town Summer plans.
