 Anyone heard of 'The Tower Corp'?

I've just bought a lovely old silver student clarinet and i'm trying to find out some of its background. The only information i have is what is written on the bell - 'STUDENT. The Tower Corp. Elkhart IND' I'm presuming the maker is the tower corp but i can find out anything about them - can anyone help?

Nothing specific but Elkhart, Indiana, of course, was the home of a large number of musical instrument makers
