"I'll go home and get my scanties and away we'll go,
Oh, Oh Oh".

By the way - Did you notice that the British version doesn't use the words "panties" and "scanties" ?...GBK

Wow, I've been missing out on a lot of interesting threads here. Just registered. My mother used to bother me all of the time trying to get me to sign up. Mom, Look, I'm posting!
Anyway, I was a finalist in Buffalo, and let me say I'm still exausted from it. The finals went till about Midnight last wednesday. I do not know who won, but the two people still going at it when 4 other people and myself left were Patti Dilutis and a woman whom I don't remember the name of. Sorry, by the time she said it to me I was getting pretty punchy. Also in the finals were more people I don't really remember the name of.....Hahah. Umm, Jeremy from University of Michigan....yes, and a girl who traveled all the way from Korea to take this audition. She was pretty much sleeping whenever I saw her....even before she was about to go on stage!! Poor girl, who knows what time it must have actually been for her? Hope this helps.

Congrats on being a Finalist. I understand it's a prerequisite to winning most jobs. :)

Clarinerd - not to step on this Thread, but I'd love to hear - possibly in a separate Thread - what your preparation (& practice regimen) has been for an Audition like the one held in Buffalo.

My competitive clarinet playing days basically ended way back in HS years; had a college music scholarship & then quit.

Thanks for sharing.

best,
mw
