Help. I recently purchased a clarinet which came with a thumbrest cushion. Thats not too unusual (duh). However, I have never seen a thumbrest like this one before. In fact, its rather ODD looking,in relation to others I have seen or am familiar with.
A description follows:
It has a foamy material on the inside & a smooth rubbery outside.
Its brown ... dark chocolate, if you will.
Its big. It measures 7/8" across the front & back sides & is 9/16" thick.
The "non-Thumb side" (facing player) has an embossed logo, a large R plus a check mark.
The side which the Thumb contacts has a (delightful) CURVE to it.
I haven't previously used a thumbrest. However, I'd buy some of these in a flash. But where? Has anybody seen it? This clarinet came from Florida. (and no, they don't grow thumbrests there anymore!) :>)
Thanks. mw

NOT. He owns a pawnshop. I know the area it came from in FL and if nobody responds then I will call a couple of music stores. I used the thumbrest in practice last night and it kind of reminds me of a "portable Bay" thumbrest due to its size. Very comfortable to use. Can't cost more than 2-3 bucks at the most.
