I bought a dilutis reed case from weiner music. The reed case is excellent it has everything in it that I could have imagined.
It has groves on the plates where the reeds rest. I have found that for myself when I put reeds on flat glass plates that they tend to warp. I have theory that is because the flat part of the reed that is on the glass takes more time to dry than the outer part. It's just a theory, I have never proven it.
Also for myself, I have found that reeds work better in humidity. Before I had Vandoren Reed cases in a plastic bag with a humidifier that was intended for a wooden instrument. This case has a humidifier built into it to keep my reeds at a constat humiditiy.
One problem I had though was that it was difficult to keep my reeds at a constant humitity. Sometimes they would be dryer and at other times much to humid. This case has a hydrometer so I can know exactly what the humidity of the case.
The case is also insulated so keep the humidity in. No more plastic bags or plastic containers.
It is made of mahogony and brass hardware.
Though it costs about 100 dollars but it is worth it in my own opinion.

How big is it? How durable is it? Is it something you'd want to keep in the top compartment of a BAM case, knowing that that part may be knocked around a little?
