 Pedler bass clarinet.

In the past, I've heard some disparaging remarks about the Pedler company. Recently I borrowed my friend's pedler bass clarinet. It's very old and was his grandfather's. For a clarinet as old as it is, it plays great. It still has the original leather pads. If I could get some of those repaired then it should play even better. It plays better than the resonite Bundy that I use at school.

I also have an old Ped B C, and it plays, but not as well [for my small hands] as a '50's Conn, or my best Selmer 33, since the "double register key" mechanism was not well engineered back then. Keep at it, its quite a beast!! Don
