I was browsing through a ww&bw catalog online and found this:

Has anyone tried these yet who was familiar with the older Chedeville's? If so, how similar are the new ones to the old?

The one I had the opportunity to play was pretty good, but unlike vintage Chedevilles I have played. You would have to play it and decide for yourself whether it suits your needs.

I was reading the catalogue today and noticed the same thing. You just beat me to the board with the post. I don't know how similar it would be, but I do know that there are plenty of pros playing less costly mouthpieces!

Hi,
I bough a couple a few weeks ago and kept one from Muncy Winds.
The material has great potential but I was not happy with the facing or baffel design.
It sounded stuffy and it did not have too much of flexibility or response.
I am talking about the 1.01mm tip opening version.
But I decided to have it refaced by Richard Hawkins. His version of the Henri Chedeville baffel and facing is great.
I can wait to get it back. I guess you could call it a modern version of the 1930's Henri Chedeville.
We will see.... stay tuned....
