First of all, many thanks for all your felicitations and assorted advice. The toilet seat issue is not a problem, however,I am told that I sqeeze the toothpaste from the wrong end!
Regarding instruments, I play a[really nice] old BuffetRC B flat, a Yamaha AE A clar, Leblanc C, Leblanc E flat and a [really horrid] Buffet Basset horn!Jez does not seem to mind borrowing any of the above when he can't be bothered to bring any of his instruments home...so they can't be that bad.
It is true that I occasionally suffer from insomnia and Jez is happy to help by talking at length{ I think!] about Oehler v Boehmzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Re.playing first or second, many years ago before the blossoming of our relationship, I was playing first clarinet in Jez's orchestra in Ravel's Gmajor piano concerto and he fell asleep in the second movement! (and I still married him )I am told that forgiveness is important in a relationship.
I have a far less obsessive attitude, in fact I don't really care as long as it all works ( which it does thanks to 'SUPERPADS') so that I can spend lots of time with the important things in life, hill walking, climbing or seakayaking and ironing Jez's reeds!
A new question for the bulletin board...which side should be ironed first?.............
Best wishes,
Mrs Jez
PS Percy, I hope that Linda doesn't see your contribution.

Hi Mrs. Jez,
Welcome and congratulations. It may be many moons before you get over the "this is yours and this is mine" and finally settle on "this is our Kaspar mouthpiece!
