what should i use to reglue corks on a plastic clarinet. i tried elmers glue but it doesnt work. any other suggestions?

Probably the best thing to use would be contact cement, available at hardware stores. Coat both surfaces and let dry 15-20 minutes, then put the cork on, being certain to align it just the way you want it, because you cannot move it once it's in place.

Good contact glues may not need that long.
UK's "Evostik Impact Glue", used by many discerning repairer's worldwide, needs 1 to 3 minutes. It would not stick after 10 minutes.

The 15-20 minutes is from the label and usually used for counter tops. Agreed that shorter times are commonly used for corks.
