Um that picture is kind of weird - does you're dog have a wig??

As to the Csardas ... I've only ever heard it for violin solo and piano and I hate it, a lot.

I have played it regularly on both clarinet and alto sax. Although I play it from memory I originally used a trumpet transcription by Rafael Mendez and adapted the octaves, I still use that particular accompaniment. This version is slightly different from the original violin solo but not much.

I've heard it on life perfomance three years ago, by the French Clarinet Sextet (1 eefer, 2 Bb, 1 Alto, 1 Bass, 1 BBb contrabass), wonderful.
I've have a recording by the Hungaryan Clarinet Ensemble on their CD "Clarinets Evergreens". I love this piece too much.

A well-covered party piece. Even Bronski Beat (or maybe it was the Communards) trotted it out.

I heard The Black Dyke Mills Band do it at Bedworth.

The Conductor introduced it "...Apparently this is quite difficult on the violin. Should be OK on the Tuba, then..."

And it was. The fast bits were dispatched with ease, before the soloist (Joseph Cook?) invited it outside and gave it a good kicking.
