Sorry about not running that link through you GBK!!
My post concerns the incredible price just paid for a old Chedeville mouthpiece on ebay.........$1760!!!
I guess if I had the money to spend, then maybe I'd give it a try, but that's gotta be the most expensive equipment pickup I've ever seen!
Anyone have any info on these "pre-dated flower script Chedeville mouthpieces" like the one that just went for 3 months rent??

Yep, I have plenty of information...
Just send me your return address printed on a fiddy-dolla beel...

Spending this kind of money on a mouthpiece that will need refacing proves that some people will collect anything.
Want a good mouthpiece?
Call Chris Hill/Clark Fobes/Dan Johnston/Walter Grabner et. al. and have them make one for YOU.
3 to 1 odds this thing didn't really sell, and we'll see more from the same seller offering 'bargain' Cheds.
I'm going to practice my Hamelin to burn off some steam, now.

It was sold by Chet, who is very reputable.....I am sure he did not expect the thing to sell this high!!!! His reserve was nothing near that. My husband knows a lot about these, but he's not home right now to tell me....
The buyer is the person who needs to be shaken silly......not Chet - I hope he doesn't get taken -
