Bob et al,
Have fun for those of us who can't be there! Hope you have good reed luck! The climate could be a factor.

1- wear suntan lotion
2- sunglasses are your friend
3- water never killed anyone who used it right
4- never mistreat a mormon, we'll send missionaries after ya!
5- last but not least, HAVE FUN!

I was only about 20 miles from Salt Lake today. It was quite warm during the day - probably in the 90's(yes, I know that those of you who live in Arizona would require a blanket in that cool of weather - but here in Utah we think that is hot). It was very pleasant in the evening, probably in the low 70's. If you are coming from a humid climate you might want to find a way to keep your reeds from drying out. I understand the change in climate really wreaks havoc on the reeds. If you are coming from a dry climate they shouldn't play any worse than they normally do.
If you see me, I may be wearing a t-shirt with a picture of my namesake with a quote by her expressing her feelings about the clarinet.
I am leaving tomorrow night. See you there!
