I just was looking for a new golf putter and found one named "Technique". When I got it, I figured if I had that putter, I didn't need to work on technique since I already had it. This got me to thinking that someone could make money making a clarinet named "Technique" for those people who think like me. Any bites?

The plans are on the table as we speak, however there is one dificulty in making the perfect "Technique" clarinet that we are yet to overcome. The person blowing it. The committee is working on this problem as we speak. Design committees have in the past designed such wonderfully accessible instruments and fingering systems such as the oboe, cor anglais and for those who are all thumbs, the bassoon. I think the pipe organ may have also been designed by a committee and is available in both 10 and 12 degree lofts.

John, the only trouble with your new "Technique" clarinet is the unusual shape of the mouthpiece; it's profile matches only that of "Frustration" brand reeds manufactured by the Guano company.
Good luck!
