Hello I currently have a Buffet -Evette K series Year: '69 I was wondering exactly what kind of models Evette had and how they compare to the Buffets of today, and which would be better. Also does neone know when Evette left and the Buffet as we know it today took ove thanx

Paul Evette and Ernest Schaeffer bought the firm in 1885. "Evette" clarinets were intermediate level instruments. "Evette and Schaeffer" clarinets were high-end intermediate level instruments from Buffet until about 1980.

Evette is comparable to Buffet E11 (Made in Germany) now.

I personally feel that French Evettes made in the 60s and 70s are much better instruments than E11
