 Polaris Barrel Zoom is Stuck

I have a Polaris barrel that's been sitting around that I'm trying to sell but during a trial the zoom mechanism got stuck. I don't have a clear story on how it happened but I do know for a fact that it's stuck and I want to fix it before continuing the trial and selling it.

Try warming it up well in your hand and then rolling it up and down, gently pressing it into a firm foam cushion.
