Does anyone know anything about this clarinet? It is wood and this is all I know about it:
"It reads: PEDLER ELKHART INDIANA. It has the trophy mark. Its numbered: T4571."
Any info would be appreciated. Also, could you tell me anything about the care of a wood clarinet and any other important info
Thanks,
Katrina

Pedler is basically junk. Just remember this - "if it's wood, doesn't mean that it's good."

Katrina: I'm not saying Pedler's are junk, but I do know a number of repair persons that wont allow them near the bench. I did know one man who actually played a Pedler in tune. No one can figure how he did it, and we still talk about his ability to blend with the section. Personally, if you've touched the horn, wash your hands!

Sorry to knock that brand, but as David Hite told me when I asked him for a student "they're a dog".
Swab your Clarinet every time youre done, have a repairman look at the bore, and wax it (carnuba) if needed, and oil it if dry. (leave that to the repairmen).
