I'm planning to try out the Leblanc Opus, and from reading about other people's opinions I've come to the conclusion that the mouthpiece that comes with it isn't that great. Is there a vandoren mouthpiece that anyone would suggests that works well with the opus.

Try the M30 with the clarinet. I found that putting the M30 on the concerto made dramatic improvements to the overall playability of the instrument. concerto and the opus have the exact same acoustical design so perhaps it would work.

I agree with Cyso, the M30 is a great mp anyway. I've also experienced it on an opus and it sounds great. Of course your reeds and ligature will affect things too though.

Lenny -
I believe that the opus is tuned to play between 440-442 and that you can adjust this by different barrels and such. Also shame on me I also forgot to mention another really awesome mouthpiece make that's mouthpieces work well (maybe even the best?) with leblanc line. Richard Hawkins produces a very fine quality mouthpiece and he is a leblanc artists and clinician so I am sure that his mouthpieces would match the opus very well. If you wish to contact him his email address is HawkinsRG@aol.com
Ljpg - Thanks for agreeing with me! I thought I might have been all alone in the straight jacket from the other thread about the m30!
