I realize this is mainly for questions and such, but I just got home from an awesome concert and am very jazzed about it. This was our annual pops concert, where we basically go all out. We had every ensemble in our band play. I did sax in jazz band (tenor), clarinet in a small wind ensemble, marimba in our three time world medaling percussion group, and clarinet in the full concert band. I did really well on a blues solo I had in jazz band. In percussion I was on a brand new marimba and had a bunch of colo parts, but pulled it off. Yay! Then, in band we played festive overture. I had the whole solo part which I'm sure many of you have heard of. It was really fun. The piece also sounded a lot better than it did yesterday morning because yesterday afternoon I called together the clarinets for a sectional, and worked out a bunch of the runs we had. Okay. this was just a bit of an energy release. Whee! The concert was supposed to be 2 hours but ended up being three. But that's okay. It was really fun! Okay, i must go to bed tomorrow because I get up at 5:30 tomorrow and have just another normal day. Bye!

Cool! I like the part of your subject line "more to come", because it is true. I am not particularly young anymore, but I still come home from performances jazzed up sometimes.
Have fun!
