 "Retro" music.

I was intrigued by Katfish's post about the Beau Hunks and did a google search. In the course of that I ran across a fascinating web site: atomicmag.com. It's quite an extensive web site focusing on what they term retro culture, which seems to be mainly mid-twentieth century styles in clothing and music -- particularly swing.

One of the index tabs takes you to a very long list of links to contemporary swing bands/orchestras --contemporary in that they are current groups, but they play music from the swing era as well as original compositions in that style. The list also shows where the groups are based. Many of them have CDs, and have audio samples on their web site. Many of them probably only sell the CDs through their web site.

If you are interested in contemporary swing groups (and other "retro" music), this is a great site to explore.
