My faculty trio will be performing Paquito D’Rivera’s “Danzon” among other works this quarter (Beethoven Op.11, Farrenc Op.44). It’s a very nice little piece and we’ll be closing our program with it.
I’ve searched all the sources that I know for a recording of this work and am not having any success so far. The work is listed on his “Chamber Music of the South” CD and the online sources that I've checked seem to be out of stock.
Anyone have any other ideas or would anyone be willing to loan me their copy? I’ve even emailed Paquito on his web site and haven’t heard anything back yet.
Thanks!
-Jon

On the home page, enter "Paquito d'rivera" (no quotes) into the search field.
The recording you want is listed ...GBK

Thanks GBK! Now I have another recording source for my arsenal. Not sure if this is the same "Danzon" since this mentions string quartet w/clarinet instead of clar/piano/cello but I went ahead and ordered it anyway. Sure is interesting that I can't find "Chamber Music from the South" anywhere...
