Hello everybody
I have to write a paper for my English class about a career, so I chose music. Does anyone have any information or website links pertaining to this? Thank you!

Benny, Benny, Benny. If we DO have to do your research--Here is a good topic. "Search" this BB for all the threads on the recently settled Musicians strike in NY concerning the perils and pitfalls (pun) of being a caareer musician in NY. That should be a good start. Don't be too broad--just specifics and attribute your quotes to the articles mentioned. No cut and paste, do your own thinking.

You didn't tell us what grade you are in, but here are some ideas that may help you get started.
Assuming you are in high school, perhaps your Guidance Dept. (that's what they call it in Ontario) can provide you with career information.
Interviews are another good, and legitimate, way to gather information. If your school has a Music teacher, you could ask him/her for an interview and perhaps some of the professional musicians who visit this site would volunteer to be "interviewed" via email.
Make a list of questions first so that you will elicit the information you need.
Another good source of career information is your local public library.
On the internet you could look up famous musicians and study their biographies for ideas.
