Anyone heard of the Noblet 145 - Grand Artiste? It is a very nice older wooden clarinet from between 1980 - 1991.
Anyway.....
My friend had a clarinet that I remember her showing me, and being obsessed with clarinet, I asked her if I could buy it from her. She plays flute and Oboe, so it's not like she needs it. It has been in the closet for like 10 years, cuz it was given to her sister when she started band (but she later decided on flute/picc and has played it since). Un-used, and noone paid any mind to the poor thing. I would give it a good home, and buy it from her.
I talked to my friend and she said that she was ok with me buying it, and her brother (also my friend) gave it to me today before I left to go back to college. Not 6 hours later, I get a call from him saying that his mother and sister yelled at him or something and that he had to come get it. (His family likes to yell at him in general and the clarinet gave them a reason. I seriously think they have bipolar disorder.) He had to drive an hour and half to get it. I felt horrible. His family knows I am a trust worthy person, I wouldn't rip them off, and I had talked to them about it. Ok, I will straighten all that out later.
When I opened the case to see what was inside, I noticed a Giglotti mouthpiece and a Bonade lig. Then the clarinet hehe. Aren't these things a bit advanced for a "beginner's" instrument? I felt like I hit a mini jackpot. Now I need to talk to them again and get the frickin horn back. lol
My long, weird story,
