Hello everyone... I apologize if this has been discussed before.. I did search for it, and spent about an hour sifting through the information I found with no luck... So... I have just recently convinced my family that I need an R-13... They've agreed to buy me one now, and allow me to pay it off over the next few months I'm really happy, because I feel this will greatly improve my playing. I have been looking at WoodWind and Brasswind web site, and it has the R-13 for a fair price, as far as I know (MUCH better than the local music stores!) From having read this board for quite a while now, I recall hearing different things, but can't remember to which mail order company each goes, etc.. Actually, by trying to figure everything out today, I've just gotten confused. I was hoping to find a company that, of course, adjusts the clarinets before selling them (as I have heard that clarinets straight from the factory are pretty bad), and will send out clarinets on a trail, preferably more than one at a time. I'm actually interested in trying both tradition R-13's, and the greenline model, hopefully side-by-side. Ideally I would just head down to the local music store, but... they only have 1 (last time I was there) R-13... and but could, for a fee, have some sent here for me to try... I'd rather just cut the middle men (and their $1500 profit) and use a mail order company. Does WWBW do these things? Would anyone recommend purchasing a clarinet through Woodwind and Brasswind, or are there better mail order companies with similar prices? Any advice particular to WWBW, or really any mail order company is appreciated. I'd just like to know some of your opinions of them before I decide.
Thanks again,
John Noecker
