Hi,
My friend and I are looking for a duet for an upcomining ensemble competition and we're looking for a duet to play. Her experience with her oboe is limited to about a year while I've been playing the clarinet for about 3. But we both have private teachers that are more than willing to help us out. Could anyone suggest something that we could play that's not monotonous and dull? Thanks!

There is a book out there that is published by Rubank (I think) that is a duet book for flute and clarinet. I did a duet with my best friend who was an oboe player at a district solo and ensemble thing, and it worked out just well. I hope that helps!! Good luck.

There are plenty of flute and clarinet sheet musics accompanied by Pf here: http://www.fluteworld.com/fwcat24.htm
However, I have never heard Oboe and Clarinet playing together except Beethoven Octet. I wonder why. Maybe, they are not in tune.
