Comments | One of the best twentieth century works for quintet. Great for recitals. Several movements actually work quite well for educational concerts. Virtuoso display pieces with a lot of musical depth. |

Comments | Harder than the Six Bagatelles. The trio movement (fl, cl, ob) makes dramatically effective use of difference tones that'll drive the audience up the walls. Excellent work. The two Ligeti quintets should be studied by orchestration students as examples of great writing for winds. | ||
