Comments | This is a humorous and yet charming solo work. Rhythmically complex with many tempo changes. In some ways reminiscent of the third of Stravinsky's Three Pieces.

Variations sur un Air du Pays d'Oc |
|||
Written | |||
Duration | |||
Comments | Ded. "a mon Ami Ulysse Delecluse". One of Cahuzac's most popular pieces, although not quite of the quality of Cantilene. Involves much fast playing, though most passages follow scales and chords. The fourth variation sounds virtuosic, but the clarinetist is helped by the C Major tonality.
