When you say it has three holes on the bottom, is one of them the sound hole, the one with the sharp edge that the air blows against? If so, then what you have is an 8-hole ocarina.
Are all the holes the roughly the same size? Then it is probably a Peruvian 8-hole. Try this chart:

If it really has 9 finger holes, then I can't help you, as I have never encountered such a thing.
