 bassoon tune-ups in Germany

I found this site while looking for repair work in Germany. My name is Annette and I have a Fox Renard 220 and need a little tune-up work. It's been about 15 years since my last "tune-up" so I think it's due. If anyone lives in Germany and knows of a good place, whether it's a business or private establishment, please let me know.

I look forward to reading more posts from everyone. This was a great site to find!

Annette

You've probably found someone by now but here are two suggestions:
Jiping Tan in Hamburg http://www.fagotteria.com/

Also Bernd Moosmann in Waiblingen near Stuttgart repairs all brands as well as making excellent bassoons. http://www.b-moosmann.de

Thank you so much! I did find Mr. Rieger but it would have been over 1,000 euros. I could have flown to Indiana and had it repaired and come back for that price. I know he is good but my purse is not that big. :)

Thanks again!

I went to Moosmann to "tune-up" my bassoon and it was a horrible job! The long joint tenon would NOT come out of the boot, wouldn't even budge until myself and one other person slowly worked on it for a few hours! that never happened before...EVER! He put some glue type substance on the cork which I didn't know about. Then the key action is uneven and some of the keys are not easy to push down, again that never happened before. I spoke with other professional bassoonists back in the states and they all agree the Moosmann bassoon is a crap instrument. I will never give up my Fox unless a Heckel comes my way. I even sent my bassoon back to him for him to fix but he returned it because he would have to pay customs fees so now I have NO IDEA where my bassoon is! I am very upset if you can imagine.

Thanks anyway for your help.
