I think I will make the switch to Oboe. I got the school oboe yesturday and am having no trouble at all.....my tone and pitch are stable and the tone is nice, dark, resonant, dense, and solid. I love playing it...I find I can play on the oboe for long periods of time without fatigue.....I will get a private teacher to help me pick a new (full conservatorie) oboe and help me with my studies. Thanks for all the advice everyone gave me..... I can't wait to start making my own reeds! thanks-Corey
