I've tried to find music for oboe and cor anglais, but no luck so far. Are there pieces for these two instrument (that preferably do not require piano or orchestra)? Mid to higher level in terms of difficulty would be ideal

There is a sonata for oboe and cor Anglais by graham Powning which is quite nice. If you are not playing with piano or anything else, any of the baroque works for two oboes works well with oboe and cor - providing you do a little work with transposition.
