Here we are vacationing in Spain and I can't for the life of me remember the name of the shawm-like instrument the Spanish play in village square bands. I've seen YouTube clips of them and would like to see the real thing while we're here...
Somebody please help...
Thanks in advance.

The tiple and tenora are modern day Spanish shawms used in Cobla bands.

The tenora (as far as I'm aware) is pitched in Bb (same pitch as a soprano sax) and the tiple is in F (the same as a musette).

Thanks, guys. That's the one. Unfortunately we are in the South of Spain and won't be able to get into Cobla territory. Darn!
