 B&H Emperor query

I've noticed a pair of Emperors that only have that on the bell and not on the top joint. Was this common?

I have an unmarked Emperor. Mine was ex-Military Band, and a lot of those were unmarked. The scalloped body rings are a give-away. I've seen an unmarked ex-military Buffet as well.

Some B&H clarinets didn't have any logos on them at all. Only the serial number and 'Made in England' on the back and nothing else.
