 Two Bb's Double Case Question
Author: Anonymoose
Date:   2019-01-01 07:06

I need to know if it is possible to bring two Bb clarinets in a BAM Double Trekking case? I'm asking because I currently need to bring two Bb clarinets with me but am not confident that the case would be safe, as the A section is a little bigger and the clarinet might move around a bit.

The idea of bringing two separate cases doesn't really appeal to me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Just put a barrel on upper section of the clarinet that you put in the place for the A clarinet. I often take 2 Bb clarinets on an outdoor gig that is far from home and a repair facility using a double case. Fortunately, I have never had to use the backup.

Wouldn’t it be better to have a backup separate anyways though? I’m case the instrument is lost or stolen or something?
