 Do I sound ok?

So I have a jazz audition tomorrow and I have a clip of me practicing one of the songs on tenor. Can anyone give me some advice?

Here is the clip (https://www.mediafire.com/file/5k3q53y7ikgk8cf/Record_%28online-voice-recorder.com%29.mp3/file)

"Boplicity" by Miles Davis and Gil Evans. How long have you been playing? And do you listen to much jazz? Your recording sounds lifeless, as if you're simply playing the written notes one after the other. I don't want to discourage you because we all have to start somewhere. Basically, you've got the right feel for the triplets and sixteenths but they need some tightening up.

Try practicing with a metronome at half speed and use it to sound beats 2 and 4. This can help you develop a "swing" feel. Don't correct yourself when you make a mistake — because the tune's still moving and you'll be left behind. Keep playing through, and when you're done work on the places where you had difficulty. Accenting certain parts of the melody and varying your articulation will help bring life to the tune. Experiment with dynamics.

During the day, when you're not playing, hum the tune to yourself and play around with embellishments; this will help you to internalize the melody and is a precursor to jazz improvisation. Good luck — and keep at it.

When I began listening I thought it was a bit clunky, BUT I realized that the underlying "riffiness" of it is actually pretty good.

The critical suggestion from me would be to be more conscious of the "dissonant" notes and purposely make them LOUDER.

As stated above rhythmic accuracy (or rather "snap") could be better and I agree with the suggestions for improvement, but there is a good underlying feel there. You are also pretty brave to record yourself and allow us to jump all over you. Another positive attribute to have in this business.
