 Clarinet “blowout”

I recently heard a podcast interview with Jonathan Cohler, in which he stated that he is still playing his Rossi matched set of clarinets from the 1990’s, and doesn’t believe in the theory of a clarinet “blowing out”. I welcome the regular contributors to this forum to give their thoughts on the matter. I still play on one of my clarinets that my teacher, Joe Allard chose for me in 1965 (Buffet R13). With a Backun MOBA barrel and bell, it has a warm chalumeau register and very good intonation.

You'd get more response to this if you posted it on the main Clarinet BBoard instead of the For Sale page you're currently on. This page is for people who are trying to sell things.

Unless you're trying to sell the R13 you got from Joe Allard. :)
