From Manufacturers Site

"For over 50 years, discriminating woodwind players worldwide have enjoyed using the Reedual to create or modify reeds. The Reedual machine is very easy to use, and will accurately duplicate your reeds to within half a thousandth of an inch. The shaping of the new reed is done by sanding, eliminating the use of sharp blades. This compact, lightweight unit is both simple to clean and easy to store. It is the approximate size of a single clarinet case, weighing less than 10 pounds. The simplicity and accuracy of the Reedual have made it the best-selling reed making machine in America.

Hi, this looks like the same era as my one- does it have the instructions typed onto sticky tape, with the misprint "cut with right ahnd only"? Just curious!

I don't know how old mine is- I got it 2nd hand from Howarth in London (I have only been in London for 36 hours of my life, but I managed to visit that shop and lo and behold, they had a Reedual they were basically giving away). My old teacher also had one with the misprint- he must have had 100 of those printed tape instructions made up and not wanted to waste the ones with the mistake!
An odd detail, but I like this evidence of a different era.
