There were hardly any comments about technique, and none at all at all about equipment, except that Charles Neidich commented that his reed had died.

I think this was intentional. If a student had come in with a Bundy, someone might have said something, but, as has been noted many times here, good players sound good, and pretty much the same, whatever they're playing.

The attitude was that you play what works for you, and control of embouchure, voicing and musical understanding are what's important.
