Romanian clarinetist German Goldenshteyn, who arrived in the US 12 years ago, died of a heart attack while fishing, on June 10, at the age of 71:

Child survivors of WW II, German Goldenshteyn and his brother were chosen out of a Romanian orphanage and given musical training, ultimately serving their militiary service playing in Soviet bands.

This recording was "produced" in a hotel room, two maybe three takes, minimal editing.

Is that an Albert or an Oehler clarinet he is holding?
