Depends on the mouthpiece your C clarinet needs. If it's a newer one designed to use a Bb mp, then use Bb reeds (I know I'm stating the obvious)...

If it's an older C clarinet with an "official" C clarinet mp, then I'd cut down some Bb reeds or try to find the German style reeds that are designed for their smaller mp's. (Doesn't Vandy make some??? It's been a while since I reed-shopped...hooked on the Legeres I'm afraid!)

All the best,
Katrina

I've never played a C clarinet, but I've had good results using a Bb reed on an Eb.

The mouthpiece on my C (Albert) is slightly smaller than regular Bb ones. So far, I've had good results using Eb reeds.
