Hello all, does anyone have any experience with any of the available G clarinets like Ripamonti, Orsi, or Amati?

I played an Orsi belonging to Stuart (sp?) Mennin at Balkan Camp a few years back. It was very very wonderful. I preferred it greatly to my Turkish-made metal G because of the larger exterior diameter of the wood horn. My right hand was much more "normally" placed on the wood instrument. Plus, it didn't slip all around on the metal!

Hi,
I have a " G " tuned Boehm System Clarinet from " Hammerschmitt ".
I´ve tested the L.A. Ripamonti one in the Music Exhibition in Frankfurt ( Germany ).
But to be honest it has a bad sound. This was three years ago. I don´t know if they´ve changed something now. I´ve also tested the AMATI G Clarinet but the fingering was too wide/large for me. :o) Probably my fingers are too small ..
Hammerschmitt made this Clarinet for me and branded it infront of my eyes.
The sound is unbelievable. It´s my favourite Clarinet since that day.
I´m playing balkan music as Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish etc.
This Hammerschmitt clarinet is recommandable.
Kind regards
